Badminton star PV Sindhu just married her long-term beau, Venkata Datta Sai in an intimate Telugu ceremony nestled in a private island in Udaipur. The Olympian opted for an iridescent shade of gold, bordering an almost subdued ivory, an unconventional choice amidst increasingly popular reds and golds. The memo for Sindhu seemed to be embracing her maximal side opting for delectable gold zari work, heavy gotta-patti and layers of polki.
Similar recourse for her post-wedding celebrations, PV Sindhu’s sartorial personality was vividly captured by Falguni Shane Peacock’s creations. A striking ivory tulle lehenga laden with intricate Swarovski, sequins, and an array of hued crystals. The inimitable athlete detached herself from a modest vision. Instead opting for a full-sleeved blouse hemmed with tassels, tiers of emeralds, and two delicate drapes of tulle and silver tissue. An ethereal tulle dupatta culminates the ensemble punctuated with a signature FSP buckle. Emeralds and diamond layered necklaces completed the opulent look.
When off the court, PV Sindhu’s personal style carries with it an eclectic yet elegant vibrance, something perfectly captured by Falguni and Shane. “PV Sindhu envisioned something off-white, adorned with subtle sparkles and crystals—an ensemble that was subtle yet statement-making. She was leaning towards the ivory-hued Lehenga for its ethereal and regal vibe. Her outfit colour beautifully contrasted with Venkata Datta Sai’s, yet the two were perfectly in sync,” said Falguni Shane Peacock, transforming Sindhu into a regal sight to behold.
For her long-time friend turned husband, Venkatta Datta Sai, the designer duo crafted a sleek black bandhgala featuring tonal silk embroidery and complementing crystals and sequins work. While Sindhu’s vision comes as a reiteration for brides to stay true to their personal desires and styles, it also reveals an impeccable blueprint for merging tradition with what the bride truly envisions herself in, be it a red timeless sari or an otherworldly intricate lehenga.
